Much thanks to "Blau Flash" aka Eugene for giving me his pro kit springs...

it was great meeting you man and thanks once again. I will probably get these installed the same time I get my ecu flashed.

Post pics up when you get them on

That way the B7 folks can compare the ride heights between the Pro Kit on your car and the Sportlines on my car. I have an idea of what your car should look like (what mine looked like when I first put it on the ground from the lift before the springs settled) and it looked pretty good.

I noticed I have plenty of ground clearance all around the body & bumper, but you gotta watch out for the oil pan & tranny area as that is what seems to hang the lowest on the car.

USP 10-02-2005 07:24 PM

your stance will be lower than mine, correct?

SteveMondragon 10-02-2005 07:32 PM

yes, but only by half an inch

which is maybe 1-finger gap difference. On the stock S-line suspension, it was about a 2-finger gap between the fender and the top of the tire. With the Sportlines, it dropped perfectly to no finger gap, but still high enough to where the car does not look dumped or the wheels look like they're tucked. Perfect in my opinion.

With the Pro Kit, I expect it to be about a 1-finger gap since it's only a 1.2" drop compared to the Sportline 1.7" drop.

You are welcome, like i said before, glad to help another fellow enthusiast...

Your ride was hot...
Sounded really good when you "flew away".;-)

that .5 of an inch maybe all i need to make it safely through the..

Northeast winter. What's your estimate on the cost for installation?

SteveMondragon 10-02-2005 07:39 PM

Should only cost around $200 for spring install labor

And doing it only takes maybe 15min per corner. Really not that long to swap them out, but tedious if you've never done it before.

USP 10-02-2005 07:50 PM

lol, thanks dude. I really cant wait to chip this thing. According to..

NSalvatore, his ride is getting 0-60 @ 5.9 sec. Thats pretty damn impressive if you ask me!
