I have a silver B7 sedan, and don't plan on doing any brake caliper upgrade - maybe some slotted rotors and better pads, but for a street car that does the occasional track day, these brakes are pretty good. I painted the calipers strictly for a little contrast to the silver paint.

What can I say? No functional reason, and I'm not trying to fool anyone into thinking I bought some Brembos.. and I like the look. It took me four hours to do all four calipers - roughly 3 and a half hours longer than it took to do the Revo flash upgrade. Plus, now the car has to sit in the garage overnight while I let the paint cure.

Do I feel a little guilty? Yeah. Do I like the outcome? Most definitely.

As much as I like the huge B7 brakes (p'n'p for the B6 btw), I'm saving up for a BBK.

Default I think it looks pretty cool from the picture that you are showing us now. But like KEVEN97A4 said..

It would be nice to see a write up of what kind of paint you used, and how you did it. Especially some pictures of what the car looks like from a distance. thanks man!

Default The Audi rings? Or maybe I'll go real ghetto and get the Brembo decals ;-)

Just kidding about the Brembo decals of course... This was the "before" picture, hadn't prepped or removed the caliper yet. I'll take some pics tomorrow and show the paint used - it's a specific kit from Dupli-color...
