Default NE1 else ever have their drivers front window switch work strange?

It has only happened twice since I have owned the car from July.

Press the switch auto up, it closes then opens a little and stops. Then eventually the auto up feature just stops working and it works like manual up. Auto down worked fine, just the auto up.

Next time I came back to the car window worked normally.

Default Not a 100% thing, but the extra thickness tint adds to the width of the window...

contributes to extra friction at the seals...
When this happens, there are safety features that retract the window from closing fully (ala, fingers or such).
Sometimes, temperature plays a role in glass/seal/tint expansion. As slight as it maybe, this maybe the case in your situation.

Default That makes sense and the window did act like the pinch protection when it came down

but not sure how that would cause the auto up to not auto up.

Default I believe some algorithms built into safety, cut-off all auto up/dn functions & reset over...

a set period of time.

Default Yep. That exact thing happens to mine, but only since my tint.

I noticed my auto-up feature won't work probably 10% of the time when the window is wet. It "squeels" and sounds like there's a lot of excess friction...

Default man you jinxed me! worked fine until today.

hit the auto-up for the passenger front when i parked, only to see the window go all the way up, and then down maybe a 1/4 way.

i thought it was me at first and tried again. same thing. and again. the window still went down a bit.

"man, what the hell are you doing?" my friend asks. he happens to be skeptical about Audi reliability.

"oh, nothing, nothing, just f!'ing around with the window switches hehehehehe *nervous laugh*"
