Default Needs more power

Hey. got a 2008 a4 as a DD. My friends kia beats it from a dig. it needs a little more power. I have a R6 for going fast but being beaten by a KIA Suv is not fun. I was thinking about a tune or a chip or something that will get me beating that kia. Any suggestions? my friend has a GTI and he got a APR chip and his is alot faster now. i need some more performance for around 500. The car does look great though.

I've had great results with Unitronic.

But any audi ecu chip upgrade software will be acceptable. Just pick a software dealer that is closest to you.

The more popular tuning software: Unitronic, APR, GIAC, REVO, etc.

Some advice: next time, do a search. This question has been asked many times.

good luck

If you have the 2.0T, APR stage one will give you about 45 hp, and a bunch of torque. I'm doing that next week probably. I believe APR tuners are having a sale until April 21st.

One word...

Garrett

Best $500 I ever spent (for my 1.8T Passat)!

It's a completely different car with the chip!

No, the GIAC chip, If there is one. If not, I apologize for me lazy postin' style tonight. That was poorly worded.

I have APR stage one always running on 93, carbonio box, 034 HFC. my next move might be DMH valves.

Sorry to sound blunt, but a Carbonio intake (as a performance mod) is a waste of money. You're only gains is a cool sound. Plus it will turn yellow within a couple months.

Like I said before...chip performance upgrades are generally pretty equal across the board for Stage 1. I would just pick a chip dealer closest to you and go with that.

Are there any Carbonio owners that can concur and support this claim? I see no records of turning yellow-color over time. Albeit, a few hp's improvement is difficult to prove. So, at a minimum-- maybe Carbonio is almost a $00.00 ROI. Probably an open filter and heat shield is equal/better.
