Default Boost Gauge

Hello again, I have an 06 Audi A4 B7 2.0T as some of you know. I am looking into installing a boost gauge. Does anyone know if its possible with this car to install a mechanical boost gauge or do I have to install an electrical boost gauge due to the DV valve? The mechanical is much cheaper so it would be better if I could use that. Thanks.

Mechanical is fine. Tap into the inlet manifold at the rear of the engine bay for the pressure...that's what the majority of the kits do on the market. I bought an ECS kit...looks OEM, lights up nice and was easy to install.

HTH,

Nick

My bad...I actually have the AWE kit, not the ECS one, although they look pretty much the same and work the same way! So, I echo vtracer20's comments, the AWE kit is pretty damn good!

Cheers,

Nick

I would get the Podi though as you can choose a wide range of boost gauge. AWE ones is ok. Gauge is small, plus you sort of have a vent that works, but doesnt work because you cant slide the air vents towards you if you need it.
