Default New here is this car worth buying (pics)

Hi I have been looking at buying an Audi for a while and I found one I like. It's a 2008 A4 manual 6 speed. It has 28.5 K miles on it and it was a lease. It is very clean and still under factory warranty. I have some questions. It seemed a little plastic like inside. What I mean by that is that the inside didn't seem as solid as I thought it would be but I could be wrong about that. Also the engine seems small but I imagine that the turbo helps out in that department. The gas mileage seems very good for that type of car but because it is a stick I bet I can get better gas mileage if I drive it correctly. Lastly they won't budge on the price, about 25K. Do you think it's too much and what do you think about my above concerns?

Says it has sport suspension, but those wheels are not the larger 18" sport as best I can tell. Those are the stock (17"?, someone check me on this) wheels on a standard A4. Is it S-line inside (three spoke steering wheel?).

If that car had true S-line inside and out, that would be a decent price in my opinion. Manual trannys are hard to find, and well worth it on this car. The auto is awful.

And in my opinion. The "feel" and quality of materials is better on this version of A4 compared to the new ones.

If you are set on FWD, get a VW. If you want an Audi, get a Quattro. Seriously. That's what Audi does.

Next, that price is a bit high. I just paid $25k, out the door, taxes, title, etc for a 08 with 29-30k miles. They can do better.

keithandstef, the 08's were all S-Lined on the exterior only. The steering wheel should be the 4-spoke version. The sport suspension did include the stock 17's as seen, with an upgrade to 18's optional.

Lastly, DO NOT TRUST THE CARFAX. I can NOT STRESS THAT ENOUGH. THOROUGHLY inspect the car, soup to nuts, top to bottom. Check the glove box for prior service records, repair bills, etc. Get the car on a lift and check the under carriage for anything out of place.

I STRONGLY disagree.

The feel of the B7 is a lot more tactile as far as the pastic. The new ones have much harden plastic and it feels cheaper to me. Rattles more too. My opinion, so let the buyer figure it out I suppose.

About a month ago I bought the same car and absolutely love it. It was Audi certified preowned like yours and I got it for 20,000 with 30,000 miles. I don't see why they wouldn't come down on the price. I so just walk away and find another.

Price is definitely high, especially for an FWD, they are usually much cheaper. Honestly though, if you are not buying it for the Quattro buy something else. There are better cars for the same money.

I strongly disagree as well, I have probably spent in total about 2 weeks inside of a B8 A4 and everything about the interior is an upgrade from my B7.
