Default Does 2.0 warrant finding exciting roads to drive on?

I just sold 03 MINI-S Manual (165HP super charged) to buy this CVT 2.0T.

The car is taking FOREVER to get here on boat so they gave me a free Acura RSX to drive for a month. You know what? This baby is nice compared to the MINI. I can't believe it, but there's very little lag and it's super responsive. Way better then the lagging MINI.

Ok, my question is, should I start a list of great roads in NC (and eastern US) to drive the A4 on? You guys think it's that good - a real winding road loving kinda car? It's been a while since I test drove it and I'm loving the RSX, but I want to be pleasantly surprised when my A4 blows it away! It will right? :-) (This is the Non-S version of the RSX too)

Anyway, it's just fun to write about the A4. I've see NONE on the roads here in Winston-Salem, NC. This forum is my only outlet.

Thanks for reading.
Jim

I'm getting rid of my RSX Type S for the 2.0T
It is a great car at first but it really isn't that great after the first few months. (Especially when the grind from 1st to 2nd starts to kick in after a while)

Cool!, SO the 2.0 will have better response than the RSX Type S?? Wow! I thought the non-S was good. Gosh, I'm excited now.

How can I make the boat go faster? ;-)

I loved the car at first, but Japanese cars are made of plastic. The squeaks are bugging me like crazy. It has some power underneath the hood, but the torque is lacking. The 2.0T has 200hp and around 200 lbs of torque while the RSX-S has 200 hp and 160 lbs of torque. The whole RSX just started to feel cheap after a while. This discouraged me from buying another acura. I was really thinking about the new TL but after I got it as a loaner while my car was in service I realized I didn't want a car that was 70% plastic.

Default Japanese wheels vs Teutonic steel

I've owned a ton of great, reliable and fun Japanese cars over the years (RX7, MX6, Millenia S and others). Before I leased my 2002 A4 I was looking at an Acura CL coupe. I test drove it. Then drove the A4. I felt like I got hit in the head by lightning. The Acura road feel was like being on Novacaine. The Audi was hooked up and real. I'm not ripping Japanese cars. They have quality down to a science (6 Sigma/SPC). But the Audi test drive made a believer out of me.
I'm getting an A4 2.0T end of July (current lease ends). The new B7 is great. I don't think you will be sorry. But why the CVT?
