Picked up a 05.5 A4 2.0T Quattro /w 28,000 miles.
It has all service records, and the 35k service was already done. So it looks like the previous owner did well on that.
I also found out my Factory Warranty expires on March 31st.
I am going to take it in for a slight "grind" (more like a mechanical feel) going from 2nd-3rd and 4th-3rd (I have done the search, looks to be a common problem).
And the brakes seem a little noisier then I would expect them to.
Anything else I should have them look at? Or other "common" problems I should inspect before I drop it off?

LOL i bought my 05.5 audi a4 b7 and the day i bought it i took it out and opened it up, when i went into 3rd, guess what it wouldnt go into 3rd. The clutch went bye bye... LOL luckilly for Audis free towing. Went back to the dealers. They tried to tell me either i didnt know how to drive a standard or i took it out for all-wheel drive donuts... i was pissed at them and told them to fix it. They were like hey, thats normally considered wear and tear but we are gonna be nice and fix it for you.... I was like..hm lemon law makes you fix it b****. if a car breaks down like that on the first day its the car lmao. Then after they fixed it they wanted me to go on a drive with them lol so they could see how i drove..i did to make them happy and they said i drove fine. UGH what a pain. Anyways sorry for babbling on LOL

Check the glove box, mine doesn't latch that easily and I know some people have had theirs replaced. Other than that, not a single issue for 55K miles. This is my 5th Audi and the best quality one by far.

Grinding Noise bad news.....
What was the result of bringing the car in? I just brought mine in with a similar issue 2007 A4 2.0T 6M and they are saying its clutch which of course is not covered under warranty. I have seen a bunch of posts about linkage and transmission alignment. They are quoting me up to $2700 if the worst is the case.
I was getting grinding going from 2nd to 3rd and it definitely was feeling a little notchy
Not a good Tuesday.

Here a list of common issues and common solutions based off forum write-ups from Audizine B7 A4 Forum.
1.Diverter valve failure:
The stock diverter valve is prone to failure, whether chipped or stock. The diaphragm is prone to tearing depending on the version you have. Most common in 2005.5 and 2006 model years.
2. PCV failure:
The positive crankcase ventilation is supposed to let gases get sucked from the crankcase to the intake manifold when under vacuum. The problem is, when the pcv system fails, and allows positive pressure (boost) to go from the intake manifold back into the crankcase.
3. Broken intake ducting
Some people have reported that part of the intake ducting that connects to the stock engine (the part in front of the accordion section) breaks off and gets lost, or worst, gets stuck and/or shredded by the fan. Due to its location, the loss in power should be minimal.
4. Cam lobe and cam follower premature wear
Have dealer check if you have excessive wear on cam for high pressure fuel pump and the follower as this is quite expensive if it goes. Audi has a revised hardend cam to resolve this issue. Intake side.
5. High pressure fuel pump failure
The high pressure fuel pump sometimes is not able to supply enough fuel, especially at low to mid range RPMs because it is cam driven. Please note that the high pressure fuel pump is different than the in-tank fuel pump.
8. Cold start problems
Some people have reported that it was related to a certain gas, so maybe try a different gas station/company.
-Get the latest software reflash.
-Could also be a bad coil pack.
