Pioneer Head Unit Install Issue
Hi,
I have B7 Convertible (2009 A4) and I finally decided to replace the radio. I purchased Pioneer flagship Nav unit AVIC-W8400NEX. Install is complete but I have one weird issue which looks like unique to my situation. Reviewing Web I found one post on Mazda Miata forum with similar kind of issue with no resolution.
After the install, NAV, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, phone, USB, and backup camera all work fine, problem is with HD radio. When I insert the key and turn to first position HD Radio work perfectly fine, as soon as I turn to ignition radio signal stars fading with static interference. Once I start the car static continues and I am unable to listen to the radio due static. Once I stop the car and move the key to position 1 radio signal is perfect.
I have checked every connection for appropriate power settings and voltage. I do not see any issues with power/voltage. Pioneer thinks it may be grounding issue but I tried to ground the head unit and still get the same problem.
Does anyone know what might be the issue? Anyone came across similar issue?
Thanks
