Port in housing around flywheel?
First post on these forums...
While checking my oil level last night on my daughter’s 2007 A4, I noticed a hole/port in the housing surrounding what I believe is the flywheel. Looking for some help in identifying what part is missing...
The below picture was taken from the drivers side. To the left of the hole is the oil filter and to the right is the front drivers side axle. I’m assuming something should be covering that hole - either a sensor or some other plug. At first, I thought it was the camshaft position sensor, but in feeling around that area, that sensor seems to be properly in place just to the right of the oil filter and to the left of this hole.
Any guidance would be appreciated...
