Default power loss...??

I know pretty much nothing about engines, or other machanical matters about cars...
These days, I feel like the car has lost some power...I feel less torque. My car has about 5800 miles and I have not had time to get the 5000 mile service yet, which means i haven't changed the oil yet. Has anybody experienced this?

How's the outside temperature? Although the difference is not so big in NA engines than in turbo engines, in cooler weather the car feels stronger.

Default Nope

My 3.2 has only gotten better -- there seemed to be a decent-sized increase in performance and driveability at around 5000 miles and another smaller bump around 7500-8000. I had my first service at around 4200 miles. Apparently this is the way all of Audi's naturally aspirated engines are, they "break in" and you don't get the full performance until 10-15K miles.

Actually I think it has less to do with the car "gaining" power and more to do with the adaptive throttle system. My theory is that as the car gains miles, the "drive by wire" system takes less and less time to adapt to your driving style.
