Default I've noticed that if you shift to Neutral with the tip

you get a CLUNK as you come to a stop. But never with the car in drive or sport mode.

Just tell them your concern, they should be able to figure it out.

Had this problem in the wife's B7. The software fix was only temporary. The problem came back on the 3-2 downshift, and started cropping up on the 4-3 as well. They ended up replacing the entire transmission. Good luck.

Default 2.0T quattro tiptronic sucks!!

Had my Avant 2 months and have and really regret not getting MT. All is well if you want to drive spiritedly but in every day travel (which means a lot of time at 40mph for me) the engine and Tip are not a good match.
My complaints:
1. When stationary, car vibrates. Also vibrates when backing up.
2. Changes up too quickly in D and at 40mph you're doing 1400rpm in 5th with an unpleasant vibration and exhaust resonance into the cabin.
3. If I use S it holds 3rd too long and you're doing over 3000rpm at 40mph and won't change up to to 4th unless you get to 50mph.

Dealer checked for updates on transmission, none found therefore no difference. Checked few other items without success. Now tells me they want to swop the exhaust system but that is unlikely to improve things!

The honeymoon is now over and the more I live with the above the more it annoys me. Other than this issue the car is great.
