Default removal of XM satelite radio receiver

I am transferring satelite radio receiver from one B7 Avant to another. How easy? What's involved?

Default Easy!

Basic Steps:

Remove

1. Tuner located in rear of car, behind left panel
2. Pry open plastic drawer. Tuner is screwed to it.
3. Unplug all wires. Unscrew tuner.

Install

Reverse the "remove" procedure.

If it doesn't work for you when powered up, chances are the CAN-bus connector on the right passenger side kick-panel needs to be moved over.

that's it.

Default Re: Easy!

It's out! Thanks, but it was tough getting (prying) plastic drawer out. Traded my 06 A4 2.0 Tip Avant for 07 A4 3.2 Tip Avant. After a year I decided I could not live with the vibration of the 2.0/Tip for the next three years.

Default installation of XM satelite radio receiver

Couple of more questions. On the 07 besides the green and brown single pin connectors, there is a similar blue connector. There is no place for it on the receiver box plus I don't remember seeing it on the 06. There is also very little slack on the wires, to the point that I can't connect them and then slide the tray back in. Lastly, it doesn't work when I power up. Can you give me more info on "CAN-bus connector on the right passenger side kick-panel needs to be moved over" Thanks!
