rims for winter tires with tire pressure monitoring system
Hi I'm new to the forum and have a question about rims/tires...
I have a 2006 6MT s-line package w/ TPMS with the michilen pilot sport 235/40zr18 95Y summer tires and I'd now like to put on 16 or 17 inch winter tires with a different set of winter rims. Today my dealer told me that they can't find a 16 or 17 inch rim that has the cut out on the rim to accomodate the TPMS. Their only solution is use the same 18" rims presently on the car, or disable the TPMS, neither of which I want to do....
Is the dealer right that there are no OEM rims that will fit an S line w/ TPMS? Is there aftermarket rims that will fit the TPMS in 16 or 17 inch?
