Default RS4 smashed up @ dealership.......

was at the dealership for service and saw a RS4 with the front end all smashed up. Asked the service guy what happened and he said some guy bought the car here in NY but lives in Florida. He came to pick it up and was driving it back to Florida and he decided to take it through some back roads and ended up driving right into a tree. he only had the car for 2 days.

Car like that shouldn't be baby'd. If car was driven from NY to FL I'm sure it surpassed the breakin

Default uhm...might want to check your manual for a description of the break-in period.

I bet it doesn't inlcude slamming the car into a tree. Jugding by the original post, he never got to Florida so he was most likely short on the break-in mileage anyhow. PLUS driving on highway is not really breaking the car in and many suggest avoiding highway for the first few hundred miles. AND taking a brand new car that you are unfamiliar with, especially a car of RS4's caliber and performance level and trying to "learn" to drive it on the back roads pushing it is STUPID. Take it to a track and learn there. We might have a different definition of babying a car. Mine steers clear of trees. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy the car, just means you're aware of your capabilities and of the road conditions. Once again...doing that to a brand new car is STUPID.
