Shot some more pix last night after work...

I just got an IR remote yesterday for my D70s camera and what better way to test it than shooting some Audi photos.

Just got the D50 - Questioning my choice...
I usually get the state of the art/latest technology knowing things are going to move forward quickly. The sales guy talked me into the D50 - I've done some comparisons, are you using the "extra" features of the D70 compared to the D50?
I'm checking for the remote option for the D50 as soon as I submit this post.
BTW- Really cool photo, looking forward to more.

Don't, all digital cameras are obsolete by the time you leave the store...
I'm a professional photographer and I've taught countless photo classes and lectures. I love tech-toys as much as the next guy, but a better camera will not automatically make you a better photographer.
Don't get too concerned with the gear. I have a Nikon D2x (12-megapixel, 5fps,yadda-yadda-yadda)at work that I could have used for the photos, but my D70s is plenty of camera for car pix and it's about 1/3 the weight and 1/6 the cost.
I've seen lots of great images created with 'basic' cameras in the hands of experienced amatures, but very few great images created by a top-of-the-line cameras used by inexperienced shooters.
My top 5 photo tips:
#1 RTFM!
#2 RTFM again! become as familiar with your camera as possible. Between my D2x and strobe manual, I've got 400-pages to cover. I read both at least twice a year and I learn something new every time.
#3 Shoot lots and lots of photos, there is no substitute for experience.
#4 When in doubt, crop.
#5 Have fun, if it's not fun why bother.
I love golf, but I suck at it. I would love to have a new set of clubs, but my current clubs are not the problem with my game. I say enjoy the D50 and if you really feel the camera is holding you back in some way, eBay it and get something else.
Shoot and have some fun!
Robert
PS if you really, really really want to upgrade, hold out a few months for the Nikon D200 it's 9-10ths of the capabilities of the D2x at 1/3 the cost.
