So does the B6 and B7 have the same cvt tranny?

I know some type of hill assist function is supposed to come with B7 cvt's, but besides that are they the same?

It's probably beefier. Torquier engines.

B6 has 6 gears in "manual" mode Vs 7 gears for the B7.

If true, wouldn't that just be a software change?
