Stupid oil change question...
I bought my 05.5 A4 2.0T with 29,500 miles. The VW dealer that sold me the car changed the oil as part of their regular service for cars on the lot. Now the car has just over 33,000 miles on it, and I'm debating whether I should change the oil now or just wait until the 35,000 service. What is the oil change frequency for our cars (both time and mileage)? My owners manual refers me to the Maintenance booklet, which didn't come with my used car. Thanks in advance,
Drew

i wouldnt have trusted the dealership.....
first thing i would do to any used car would be an oil change with the oil that i prefer. for my 2.0t i use syntec 5w40 and go every 5k.

This is a VW Dealership...
Granted it's not an Audi Dealership, the dealership is servicing essentially the same engine in Jettas, GTI's, and Passats every day. There are a lot of people trusting the same dealership with their VW's that are under warranty. I've got no reason not to trust them. I'll be trusting an Audi dealership when I get the oil changed at 35,000.

im not saying i wouldnt have trusted that dealership in particular
i just wouldnt have trusted what any dealership in general would say. i'm sure if they really did do the oil change, they would've done a fine job. but what i am saying is who would really know if they went and did that full 35k service for the car. did he show you the paperwork? if so, then you should be fine until 35k.
