Default Suspension upgrade

I picked up my B7 A4 non-sport in December and finally got around to doing the suspension upgrade. Neuspeed springs and Bilstein Shocks.

Default Looks Great!

Looks awesome man, but everyone (including myself) is going to want to know how you like them, how they ride (comfort), and how they handle. Please give us a review. THanks for letting us know though

I will post a mini-review after a few hours of beating them up.

Default I found out from my dealer that putting new springs in or a whole new suspension voids the warrenty.

Do any of you have a leased car and want to put on a new suspension, or have you installed it already and just dont care about the consiquences?

Default ok, rant time...

My car is leased and I did this upgrade. This upgrade or chipping your car or switching out your turbo DOES NOT void your warranty. Your dealer is full of crap.

You should read up on the Magnusson-Moss Act, which governs warranties. In order for a dealership to "void" your warranty, they have to show that the modification you made caused the failure in the part you are trying to have repaired under warranty.

Example: I chip my car, and the power seat stops working. The power seat is covered under warranty, even if they find out about the chip. On the contrary, if I replace the turbo and chip the car and my transmission goes out because the car is producing too much torque, then the warranty on the transmission and the powertrain could be voided if the dealership can prove it.

Essentially what I'm saying is just because you change something on your car doesn't mean your warranty is void. Audi sells aftermarket springs on the AudiUSA website. To top that off, most dealerships will do this sort of modification for you if you want to pay their prices.

Default All that is true, but.....................

If you need warranty work and the dealer or AOA declines because of mods and chooses to fight it out, you might be without your needed warranty repair for quite a while.

Just because you might be legally "in the right", it doesn't mean that you're going to get what you want anytime fast.

Default agreed, but...

suspension work isn't going to cause them to claim my tranny isn't covered.

Default Mini Review

The ride is fantastic, very much like the sport package on my 02 A4. As for handling it is far superior to the non-sport package and the car feels tight around the turns. The best thing is that the car seems to handle the power from the engine better.
