Those who installed the votex rear lip, where did you attach the tape under spoiler?

Those who installed the votex rear lip, where did you attach the tape under spoiler?
Got my spoiler back painted so now I want to install but just want to do it right the first time. Any help on where and how you taped under the spoiler to attach to the trunk.

The spoiler is hollow, I have not test fitted it yet but by just looking at it
it seems that where the tape would go will not actually hit the deck lid.
That is why I am asking. I gotta test fit it, maybe once I put it on it will make sense.
