Default People ask $20k plus for cars with this much done to them...

Essentially every mechanical part in this car is new, down to the every piece of the clutch hydraulics, every bushing, every suspension component, alternator, hydraulic pump, full tie rods, every hose, I mean about the only parts not replaced are the transmission, rear differential and axles, though the front CV boots are all new too. With paint work and an interior detailing you essentially have a brand new 17 year old car with triple factory horsepower and room to grow.

Cheers,

Default You can ask all day if you want and maybe.....

for the best tricked-out early 90's Coupe RS2 imposter but for a '90-90? now if you're talking about a low mileage urQuattro then hell yeah, but why would you drop $20k on a blown 90 when you can get a more modern/newer S4 or hell even a mid-90's urS6? Well maybe you're rich and you want to have fun on track days with something (you find) nostalgic and like the fact that no one else has one... just don't break it for cripe sake :-)

Default 90q20v is actually a rarer car than a CQ, plus...

no one ever does conversions on them, plus it has every possible option any CQ does. Curious why a converted 90q20v would fetch less of a price than a CQ convert? This build goes above and beyond RS2 spec. Get an S6, sure maybe not with this level of power, nor weighing 2900lbs, nor with anywhere near this level of rebuild, very confused with your premise on this pricing.

These cars in good shape still pull $3-5k, it is actually one of the rarest models in Europe, far rarer than an RS2 or even the illusive S2 Avant, and add in $20k plus in rebuilding and modifying.

Cheers,

Default I think I understand your point...

from a collectors stand point but we're not talking Germany's tuner market here, this is the States. Audi's really didn't hit the radar screen until the B5 unless you count the "sudden acceleration" issue. IMO the 90 barely got a whif over here (most, who knew what an Audi was, were wondering what happened to the 4000) and I would find it hard to believe that even the so-called Audi guys would go for a 90 "CQ" over an RS2 (or anything S for that matter) assuming they could get a federalized one. "S" is where it's at here. Btw, the urS4 and S6's may be 2 ton boats but they are nice, modable, spacious, stable and aesthetically attractive boats. Don't get me wrong, I truly understand your monetary investment here, but we're talking US market value on a "converted" (so much for the collector) car.

Honestly, I like the car and I'm sorry for digging into this one. Sincerely, good luck with your sale.

Regards

Default For the right buyer this is a great deal

I'm guessing Alex will have no problem selling at this price. The key is finding the buyer who wants it- for whom this will seem like a bargain. I'm confident they are out there, though probably not on this forum!

Yes it is a sedan not a coupe, but that means it is lighter and rarer. This setup- at least with the RS2 injectors and SW installed- will blow the doors off of any V8 S4 and only the most heavily modified B5 S4 will come close to keeping up.
