Transmission Control Module location/problem please help
Can someone please tell me where the Transmission Control Module/Unit is located in a 2007 A4? I've read in other forums that in previous model years it's located in the passenger floorboard - just want to confirm it's location in a 2007.
Also - I got a code (I don't have the exact code in front of me will add edit later). Dealer told me I needed to replace the TCM. Car is driving fine but the CEL obviously is on. Every once in awhile I'll have to change gears more than once to get it to change. So I guess it's definitely going bad.
Is this a common problem for A4s? Also would resetting the TCM possibly fix the problem?
Sorry for the 20 questions - thank-you in advance!
