2006 A4 Avant, 52,000 miles. Any thought if Audi will help? The transmission just started to shudder upshifting and downshiffting from a stop. Took to the Audi dealer immediately. They are stumped, but suggest changing the fluid (8 quarts @ $70/qt) and doing some adjusting on the ECU for a total of approx $1000. They are not sure that will even solve the problem. HELP...any suggestions. Ted

To dish out $1000 bucks to do something to a car that might not fix it seems to me like alot of money. Thats like spening 1,000 bucks on scratch tickets and maybe winning more then you invested.... I personally would wait till i knew what would resolve the problem before i dish out that kind of money...

One week later...Fluid has been flushed and replaced and ECU reflashed. NO CHANGE in shudder problem. How will Audi help out. This is my 4th Audi !

Try a different dealer or better yet an independent Audi shop that knows what they're doing.

-because based on what you said... it looks like you did and you still have the same transmission problem.

call up VAST @ (248) 399-2222 for some honest advice or to actually fix your trans problem. ask for Prince, Gil, or Mike. They are all experts.
