I have had my car a week and I am really dissapointed with my MMI revelation. So it turns out that the "Mix" function of both SD and CD's is completely pointless.

If you put either source in this mode but wish to skip a song it steps out of "mix" mode. WTF! What moron wrote that code! I am so pissed right now.

My '03 A4 changer shuffled across songs across all CD's no problem. I buy my new super 06 A4 with MMI and it can't even freaking dhuffle a CD.

Pathetic.

I at least now have a plan. I put all my mp3's on the SD card. Next I use a playlist creator such as Playlist Editor http://homepage.ntlworld.com/thorin92/dss/software/dssple20/index.htm

and then create multiple (maybe labelled Monday, Tuesday etc.) randomized playlists that include all my files...

Not perfect but it should do...

Is how if you skip a song it takes it out of mix "mode" and just plays the next song in that folder. Brilliant!

I doubt it will help any but I will be sending an email to Audi questioning them about this. Maybe others who are upset about this can do the same.
