Default walnut/varona trim option

am about to buy '06 2.0t and am considering a wood trim option instead of alum. to those of you with first hand knowledge, is it worthwhile in terms of esthetics, fit and finish, professional installation, etc.? in fact, is it even real wood? many thanx.

Default Walnut is great!

It looks awesome. The fit and finish is perfect. Not sure if it's even wood or not. Makes the interior feel more upscale but still sporty. One of my favorite little things.

Default I've had all three trims on my A4's.

With the beige interior, the aluminum trim just didn't work. I traded it for Walnut and loved the look. I actually got a lot of comments from friends on the wood trim. This time around, I opted for the Vavona and like it even better. That's the first thing anyone who rides in my car mentions. It looks great. The upkeep is simple and yes, I believe it's real wood. You won't regret either choice. If you search this forum, you can see examples of each.

By the way, I think Vavona is only available with Beige interior.

I have beige/vavona and love it. FWIW, dealer made a point of saying it's "real wood".

Wasn't there a mention of it being "splinter proof" or something?
