Default Warranty question

08 A4 Quattro - car is still under warranty and I noticed two problems recently. The valve cover looks like its leaking and also, the oil dipstick plastic section disintigrated, literally fell apart. Anyone now if these are covered by the warranty ?

R U talking about the gasket area of the valve cover or around the oil filler cap. If it's around the filler cap, you may have a PCV problem. If you can't open that filler cap at idle but can when you turn the engine off, then the PCV needs replacning. For dipstick holder, I'd check with the dealer - it's not a wear & tear item like tires, clutch or brake so should be covered but only the dealer will know for sure.

I noticed some leaking on my valve cover at (2) of the center screws. I wiped up all the oil residue and re-torqued (they are a torx screw)the screws down. I have been keeping an eye on it and no more oil leaks but the screws tend to re-loosen a bit on their own. I may go ahead and loctite if they keep loosening.
I would bet the dip stick tube would be replaced on warrenty and probably the re-torque and/or valve cover gasket as well.
