Weird Response from Dension
I asked Dension to suggest the best option for my 06 A4 with Nav+ and this was the response:
"It would be the i-Audi-R. It is not for NAV Plus in 06 models though. Other wise you would have to wait for the MOST system that will be available in about 6-8 weeks."
Two things that concern me:
1: Why didn't they suggest iceLink Plus? is it dead now that DICE is out?
2: Isn't MOST only for A6 and above?
I am getting seriously tired of figuring out how to make my dam car connect to an iPod, sometimes I wish for a cassette deck.

Wow you got a response
They never got back to me on the issue I'm having which seems to be me only and nobody else.

Re: Wow you got a response
Apparently this cable:

Would let me connect up to the CD changer cable in the glove box losing the CD changer in the process.
But I would love confirmation from Dension.

You have to lose the external CD changer
Where else is the Dension going to plug in? The Nav+ and Symphony headunits don't have any other input really that will allow you to control the iPod.
There are some workarounds that some have found by keeping both by using a relay and such.

Re: You have to lose the external CD changer
Right thats what I said that I expect to lose the glove box changer. I just find it a little weird that Dension themselves didn't suggest this solution.
Someone did say they may be able to build a switch for me so that I could change between CD Changer and iPod

Re: You have to lose the external CD changer
Problem with the first iteration of this switch is that the audio inputs from both the CD changer and iPod are wired into the headunit's input straight through. So you could have the iPod and CD changer running at the same time. I'm not sure how the changer or iPod would react when one of them is being used while the other is sitting idle with an audio source going INTO it,m whether it be the iPod or changer.
Frankly, with an iPod, just rip all of the music onto the iPod and you'll never need the changer IMO.
