Default What did they do to the B7 steering?

My last dealer loaner was a 2.0T Tip.

The steering felt as loose as a Toyota Camry's.

I have a B6 1.8t sport, and before that a B5 1.8t Sport. Now, I've always thought that the steering in the B6 was heavy; Perfect for local driving, but too tiring on long trips on the windy turnpike between Philly & Pittsburgh. But the B7 steering effort has gone all the way in the other direction and taken the sport out of sport sedan.

Default It has Servotronic. The faster you go, the tighter it will get.

Try it you'll see.

Default Eh? So how does your post correlate to loose steering in stop and go city traffic?

Made for a totally different feeling.

Steering gets tighter as your speed increases.

IMO, light steering at low speeds makes a car feel more agile
