What level of tint should I get?
Okay, this is a ridiculous question, but assuming 35% is the max I can get, should I consider less? Meaning, I have concerns about night-time visibility out the rear and rear sides. How do you guys with 35% deal with this? Any of you with 20%? 15%?
Also, do some Audis come tinted from the factory? I've seen a few black A4s now with really nice black tints.
Thanks in advance!

Going with a huper optic or f1 ceramic allows less heat transmission...
while keeping the perceived ting level lighter. I am going to be installing huper optic next month at a 30% level that outperforms many metallice tints at 15% levels. cheers! Mike

I just got 35% tint all around (PICS inside)
I think the 35% is perfect all around. Not too dark, not too light. There's ample light coming through the front so it still brightens up the inside so it's not too dark looking. Might be kind of hard to tell in the pics below, but in person I think it looks great. Up close you can still see into the car (for the most part, when you're really close), but from a distance the driver and passengers are hidden behind the tint, which is what I like for privacy. The great part, only $130 for the entire job and from the shops I've gone to in the past, this place did some really nice work (same place that did Snoop Dogg's Caddy, and did a car on the TLC show "Overhaulin").

I would say 35% too. not too dark, not too light.
keep in my mind that the color of your interior plays a role...tint looks darker when you have a black interior, and lighter if you have a beoge/tan interior.

honestly though . . . why do you think you need the extra heat resistance?
the car will still get hot when you park it . . . and sun on the east coast isn't that intense so you're not going to notice a huge diff when you're driving it.

Meh, the heat resistance is the only reason I tinted. The looks dont matter to me...
so I just figured I get added visibility seeing out the windows with more heat resistance so why not yunno. I'm no expert on tint but having tried out a crapload of them in florida these feel better with less visibility probs. cheers! Mike

My old ForumlaONE Pinnacle 35% tint blocked more heat than some generic brand tint
But then I paid almost $400 for just the side windows and rear window on my old car with the FormulaONE Pinnacle series tine, where as I paid $130 for 5 windows and 2 small quarter windows on the A4 for some generic tint (leased car so I didn't want to spend much).
