Default when to drop the clutch

i've read that in awd cars, especially turbos, you should raise the rpms higher than most cars (4000), to allow the tires to get the most grip and allow the turbos to spool. but these have mostly been for high hp cars like the 911 turbo.
when do you guys find is the best time to drop the clutch for the best acceleration?

Default Can't really "drop" the clutch, otherwise you're gonna cook your clutch

You need to quickly ease the clutch out while quickly giving it more gas to the point of flooring it once the clutch is all the way out.

I've only been able to do this once and get a great launch and had it revving around 2800RPM. Other times, the engine gets bogged down and stumbles.

Default High Rev + Clutch Drop + Quattro + Heavy Car != good

quattro + the heavy weight of the car will bog it down and bye bye clutch if done too many times (hell, even once is probably not a hot idea).

as tanner said, rev around 3k and slip the clutch out as giving it more gas...probably the optimal way to launch.
