wipers

i have 7k on my car now
and for some time the wipers leave streaks of water when they wipe
do i need new wipers and is this something that is covered under the warranty?

sucks don't it!

but only the bmws have that covered, ya u need new wipers

Streaks are an indicator that your wipers are not working properly. Among others, the cause for this occurrence could be that the wiper blades are worn and need replacing.

Wiper blade replacements are not covered by Audi Advantage for MY 2006 delivered after

July 1, 2005.

I got new blades for my B6 (2002) A4 every fall when I had my snow tires put on.

They change mine free of charge everytime I ask. On my third set now.

Mine started streaking with 400 miles on the odometer. I am waiting until I go in for the 5,000-mile oil change to address it with the dealer. I did notice that when I had the washer fluid from the factory/dealer (it smells like iodine or something) it would froth-up coming out of the jets and streak the windshield a lot. Now that I refilled a few times with the 99-cent/gallon blue stuff from CVS I have no frothing and a lot less streaking. I now have 3,000 miles on the car.
