'11 A4 Quattro Wheel Vibration while standing still or very low speed
'11 A4 Quattro Wheel Vibration while standing still or very low speed
I got this car 3 months ago and I noticed this wheel vibration while parking or getting out of parking. It happens when turning the wheels without moving or at very low speed, forward or backward movement same. I took it to the dealer along with a TBS 2020332 I found here about power steering hose that some ppl had but they say the TBS does't apply to my car as it supposed to be fixed on 2011.
Tech guy wrote in a report that it is the tires (All Season Pirelli tires).
Anyone has the same problem? Or better a fix for that? Kinda annoying as never had a car with that issue.

I actually called dealer again and explained he they said again that no TSB is available for my VIN number and that I can come and try other cars on the lot to see if the issue is consistent. I probably will go tomorrow to see if any other cars do the same.

I had this problem twice -- it's back again.
My steering wheel used to shudder at low speeds and I had a steering hose replaced under warranty. About a year and a half later, the problem came back. The dealer replaced the hose with a second new part number.
Now, about a year later, the vibration is back. I haven't contacted my dealer yet, but my car is out of warranty and I certainly don't want to pay for something they had two tries to get right.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no "fix" for the '11 models. This was a known issue on the 09 models, and maybe the '10 models. There was a TSB that I believe upgraded to a larger power steering hose, which is what the later models already have. My '11 does this to some extent as well.

Went to the dealer today and checked another 2011 A4 CVT not Quattro and honestly even 2WD car had a slight vibration when turning while standing still. My assumption is that on Quattro systems is more pronounced because of the whole traction system working all the time so it is trying to grip from the start. Not sure but unless later on Audi will come up with a TSB to completely eliminate the issue it is probably a normal thing of this cars.
I just wish we had snow in San Diego to try the Quattro
