13,000 miles
I now have crossed 13,000 miles. I will, therefore, be heading into the dealer for my second oil change in a couple of weeks or so.
I have noticed constantly improving gas mileage and performance (quickness, i.e.).
I have had to replace the tires (at about 7500 miles) due to a road hazard. Cost, total about $1,000.
I use Shell Premium gas most of the time.
I wash and vacuum the car regularly.
I drive it and drive it and drive it.
It has had zero problems and, if the above is too subtle, it just keeps getting better all the time.
I had an issue with Sirius -- their issue, not Audis, not mine.
The car is "strong" in every way I could imagine.
If this, thus far, is any indication of reliability and/or durability, this car is a tank.
This, Audi number 29 since 1977, is in my top three faves of all time.
#1 1995 S6
#2 2009 A4
#3 2005 A6
Sentimental faves:
Audi coupe (FWD) 1988
Audi coupe quattro 1990
Audi A8 (4.2)1997
Audi allroad 2.7T manual transmission 2003
The 1995 S6 was NOT the most reliable car I had, but everyting that ever went wrong with it (and that wasn't much) was completely covered -- and the car was a blast to drive.
The current A4 2.0T Prestige, 19" Sport, Nav is, in many ways, the best of the S6 and 2005 A6 rolled into one.
I am constantly seeing "accusations" about the reliability of Audis -- I have very few concerns and very little history that would suggest these cars are anything but reliable.

Mark do you have any steering wheel vibrations/shimmies between 60 and 70 MPH? I know your setup is similar to mine. I can't remember if you have the same Dunlop tires or if you replaced them with something else though.

I have a step-brother-inlaw that has had a number of issues with his B6 A4 Cab, so I know that issues exist out there. But I have found my Audi products to be great, solid cars and reliable. As with anything, you do have to maintain the car and check on it before issues become problems. I am very happy.
I am now 3000km in and have seen the step up in performance and mileage. What an excellent car.

Due to a blow out, I replaced the factory tires at about 7,500 miles. I replaced the tires with 255 x 35 x 19" Yokohama UHP A/S tires Advan S.4.'s. I had them load force balanced at the dealer. An alignment was also performed (4 wheel). The cost of this "adventure" was $100 plus the tire cost. In total about $1,100 as I recall. Not Audi's fault -- just a piece of metal on the freeway, causing the blowout.
I have no shimmy.
My set up is 19" sport package + ADS -- bone stock, other than the tires.
I do not notice any issues other than the Cardamom Beige seats seem to show dirt more than my previous Amaretto leather seats in my 2005 A6.
We'll see how the thing fares with 25,000, 35,000 etc miles on it.
