2010 Audi A4 Oil Consumption Question
I have a 2010 Audi a4 and it has been consuming a lot of oil and at the same time spitting a lot of it out when i accelerate fast. I looked into the oil consumption settlement and want to try it out since the car only has 70k miles but the thing is, i bought the car and it has a salvage title, will the settlement still work? Two doors were replaced

It does say, "Excluded from the Settlement Class" is "anyone who purchased a Settlement Class Vehicle with salvaged title". However, there have been other people reporting on this forum that they had the piston work done on their car outside the terms of the settlement(specifically outside of the 80,000 mile warranty extension) at no cost.
I also recently bought a 2010 A4 with 92K miles and found out that it's burning oil. I would like to know if anyone has been able to get the piston work done for free or reduced price more recently(the posts I've seen were a couple years old where someone got it fixed for free). Audi South Orlando quoted me $1800 to replace my timing chain and related parts, but it would be a real waste to do this on an engine with bad piston rings - especially since Audi's official stance is that the timing chain is good for the life of the car. I'm sure they would be quite happy with their customers buying a new car every 80K miles...
