2016 A4 -- in detail
All you ever wanted to know about the 2016 A4:
High Tech all the Way ? the New Audi A4 and A4 Avant - Fourtitude.com
Here's a video:
I'm kind of disappointed with its looks. It's not all that much different than the B8. But with all the new electronic and mechanical features, I bet the price is going to take a big jump.

LOL, Is that the Dyson vacuum cleaner founder/spokesperson? Also, that technical director is totally reading his lines over the host's shoulder.

I've got a comment: who in the hell thought ipads glued to a dashboard looked ok? And why does the new A4 interior scream "we copied the BMW 3 series interior!"
Lots of new tech gadgets. I wonder if a Prestige will be $4-5k more than the B8.5 with all those toys? The only 2 things I'd REALLLLYY lust after is the digital dashboard and the 755 watt B&O upgrade. Oh and a faster MMI would be helpful.
The extra inch in the back would be nice for the kid's carseat.

Also, I'm still not certain what engine the U.S. is getting. The write-up and the video seem to be talking about European specs. Is the U.S. getting a 190hp 2.0? (I hope not.) Will we be getting a V6?
I do like the interior, but not the Mercedes-like "tablet" stuck up on the dashboard. I wouldn't have minded the motorized screen like the one in the A3.
I guess that just like the last couple of A4s I've bought, I'm going to have to let the B9 grow on me (no pun intended).

I like that it's slightly larger, and though the dash is a copy of the BMW 3 series, it's nice, with the exception of the tablet nav screen - that's an eyesore.
The contour line along the bottom of the doors is dull compared to the sweeping, curved line of the B8, but the B9 reflects the industry's 'new' style.
All in all, it's a nice car, but I'd not want to be a beta tester of the new engine. I'd wait a few model years.

Thumbs up on the interior and the instrument cluster. Thumbs down on the exterior. Never been a fan of the Singleframe grille and while the B8 somehow connected with me, the grille in the B9 is the worst ever IMO. Pretty much like in the Q7 that looks like a big Subaru Forester in blue.

The thing that stood out most to me in this video is the placement of the cup holders. They are far forward almost against the dashboard face. To me this could result in spills that (because of the holder placement) will now splash over the controls. The cup holders in my C7 A6 are better for me since they are toward the rear of the MMI and other controls, so should something spill it will hit the arm rest or the cup holder indents themselves. I prefer this placement – it is safer for us sloppy Americans.

"In the high-end version, the 2.0 TFSI delivers 185 kW (252 hp) and torque of 370 Nm (272.9 lb-ft) between 1,600 and 4,500 rpm. This allows sporty driving: The new A4 Sedan with quattro drive and seven-speed S tronic sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62.1 mph) in 5.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155.3 mph)."
