The 2018 map update is currently out. Has anyone updated yet? If so, did you do it through the dealer or yourself? If you did it yourself, where did you get the software and what did the update process consist of?

About 6 weeks ago I bought a 2014 A4 CPO. Part of our deal was to update Nav to version 2015-16. It was installed & took 4-5 hrs. Cannot compare previous to new version.Don't know price but assume it is not cheap. My A4 was his first update as they only got it 2 days earlier.

As far as I know they usually just plug in their tester/SD card and bill you by the hour, at least that's they'd do here.

Unfortunately, the B8 Platform models cannot be updated over the air as the newer B9 vehicles can, but thank you for your suggestion nonetheless.

That's exactly what my dealer told me He also said that it took over 4 hrs. Glad I negotiated this as part of my buying. Would not pay hourly rate.

I just updated my maps by downloading to SD card and installing to the MMI. Two days later, MMI shows system update which I"ve tried to do online several times but keep getting this message after download " Update has been downloaded and will be installed once vehicle is parked " . Anyone seen this before?
