A4 b8 retrofit servotronic coding

Hello.
I had just a simple hydraulic rack and the rack was going to the end so I decided to change it. It was good deal with servotronic so I put it. Rack code is the same only one letter at the end is changed.
So after install the rack I connected two wires from rack to J519 module to pin 1 and 12. Then I tried to code it with vcds but what I found in central electric and long coding “active/dynamic steering wheel” but if I active it I get error J792 module no signal. So the question where I should code it? Or I just need to connect wires to J792 module?
Strange that diagram is showing servotronic valve connect to J519 module. Can’t find any information how to code retrofit servotronic..

servotronic does not imply dynamic steering.
What part number was on your original rack and what part number is on the new one?
What PR code for steering (1N?) do you have for your car? My car is 1N3, which is "speed-related variable steering assist (Servotronic)"; the other US option is 1N7, "dynamic steering". They use two different part numbers for the rack.
Additionally, there was a running change at Oct 19, 2009, where part numbers changed. What build date is your car?

So it would seem if you had active steering, there would be an address 1B for it. The J792 is a dynamic/active steering related object. I'm guessing you don't have one, so you wouldn't try and enable it.

Maybe it's address 44 you're looking for? Audi RCEPS Steering Assist - Ross-Tech Wiki

Mine was 8T1422066C and I put 8T1422066B

Adress 44 I can’t reach, not working on my audi. Like I understand active/dynamic steering wheel is something more when servotronic assist

Where I can check PR code? And what does it do?

SMac770 07-11-2018 03:18 PM

For me, the PR codes sticker was inside the front cover of the warranty and maintenance booklet with my owner's manual.

Looks like 066C was for PR code 1N1, power steering. Vs. 066B for PR code 1N3, speed-related variable steering (servotronic), and 066A for PR code 1N7, dynamic steering.

I'm starting to get with your original inquiry. The J792 is for dynamic steering (1N7) and not relevant to servotronic steering (1N3). The N119 servo (which is on the rack, the difference between the 066C and 066B racks) wires to the J519 control unit, pins 1 and 12, on plug T17l (apparently not the red or white one).

So if your sole question is "to turn on dynamic steering or no", then no, you don't have dynamic aka active steering.
It could be simply there is no coding to activate the servotronic, maybe the J519 simply detects it if connected and runs with it from there.

Thanks for the answer. I connected two wires from rack to J519 red connecter to pin 1 and12 but anyway I should code somewhere? Because there is no different, only the steering wheel now is little bit harder when it was with my old rsck.

Ok sorry for aswer before, now I understud what you mean. We connected two wires to connector on the module J519 and we chose one with 14 pins, color was purple maybe, we was looking at a diagram so I think we chose correct... but of course I need to double check. But like you told it is really don’t need to code nothing? It should work automatically?
