A4 Prestige Quattro Manual

I have read the threads and see that it is possible to upgrade the MMI. My issue is very specific - I am wondering if an upgrade would solve my annoyance. When I take my iPod in and out of the car, it always resets to the first song on my iPod when I plug it back in. The only reason I know that it doesn't do it in other versions is that I had a loaner of a 2011 A4 when I took my car in for regular maintenance that didn't restart everytime you unplugged it. Seems silly - but it would make me very happy to change it.

Have you had the update for the radios applied? There was one in the middle of the 2009 MY.
I think it allowed larger SDHC SD cards to be used. Maybe it could help this issue too?

I have a 2010 and I have the same irritating issue with the iPod/MMI. I'm going to have them address it the next time I take it in for service. Sometimes when I shut off the car and come back it it will get stuck on an album or song when in random mode.

I haven't figured out if this is an iphone/ipod problem or a Audi problem. Sometimes it will resume at the last song and sometime it won't.

I was told by the Audi dealer that I have the most recent Audi endorsed software for my car. I just am hesitant to believe that I am the only one with the issue. Did adding the extra memory help with your overall performance?

I have used several iPods in my household to try to figure out what some of the issues were and I have your same problem. It doesn't seem to be iPod specific from what I found. Seems like a software issue.
