Adaptive Damping Suspension and Audi Drive Select
I just picked up a 2016 A4, Technik with the S Line Competition package.
The Technik trim comes with adaptive damping suspension. However, the S Line competition package comes with 'sport suspension'.
Does this mean that the adaptive damping suspension is replaced with 'sport suspension'? In my Audi Drive Select settings, I only have settings for:
- Engine/transmission
- Dynamic steering
I thought I'd also have a setting for:
- Suspension
But it's not there. Am I correct in assuming it's because the S Line package inherently deleted the adaptive damping suspension and replaced with 'sport suspension'?
TIA.

Yes, you are correct. I just downloaded an Audi Canada 2016 A4 brochure off the internet. When you add the SLine Competition Package, it includes the A4 Sport Package that includes Sport Suspension. That choice deleted Adaptive Dampening Suspension included in the Technik Package.
Congrats on your new A4! Sorry to hear about it losing the Adaptive Suspension over the sport suspension. If I were in your shoes, I would be dismayed. But, too late and you can't return your car. Just enjoy the sport suspension. I find the 'COMFORT' settting for the adaptive suspension in my new S5 too soft. Feels like I am riding in a domestic brand car. Feels like a Camry, i.e. lumpy suspension. I always leave it in DYNAMIC which stiffens it up. But, this is my preference since I love the sport suspension in my GTI.

I think you have the answer. You can check your option code matrix (sticker under hood or service book). It should be one of the following (not sure if 1BV is available in all markets):
1BE Sport Suspension
1BV S line-sport Suspension
1BL Adaptive Suspension
1BE Sport Suspension
1BV S line-sport Suspension
1BL Adaptive Suspension

Thanks guys.
I checked and I have 1BE.
This puts my mind at ease. I do feel as though I lost a bit of value as I paid more for the Technik package but didn't get the adaptive suspension. If you get the S Line or S Line Competition package you should get a credit for the adaptive suspension.
