Advice on putting on a alternator belt?

Advice on putting on a alternator belt?
I changed my alternator and putting on the alternator belt was too hard i have been having troubles getting it back on, any advice?

You're supposed to rotate the belt tensioner and lock that in place to be able to remove/install the belt.
