I have a 2014 A4 with 30,000 miles. I had the after run pump replaced last month per the recall. Now my warning light came on for the engine overheating. I had Audi look at it and they said the water pump and thermostat need replaced. Any chance these problems could be connected to the after run pump? The service advisor says no, but seems suspicious to me.

I had the coolant and brake fluid changed at the dealership a number of years back. Driving away, it was now mid day so I turned on the A/C and all it blew was hot air. Hadn't used the A/C in several weeks. Took it back and said wtf. They said it had a code for a something on the refrigerant system. I will always say they broke it doing the coolant flush. But there was no way I could ever prove it.
