Default I don't know, that 300hp supercharged motor on the A6 seems pretty nice...

If you were considering the S4 then your budget gets up to $60K or so, right?

Maybe a BMW 5-series xDrive?

I guess I'm more interested in Euro-trashy cars than anything domestic.

Default I'll have to drive the new A6 when it comes out. . .

As far as the S4 goes, no, as I would buy a base model with just the sport diff. Plus I get supplier discount, since I work for a division of the German company we all know and love, especially if you own an Audi.

How do you like the BMW 535i xDrive?

Default Not a big BMW fan anymore. I was a big 2002Tii fan and early M3

fan, but BMW went the luxury barge route without AWD and then finally conceded that they needed it to stop Audi from taking market share away from them. I was hoping that the 1 Series would emulate the 2002, but no, just another overweight luxury barge.

I drove the newest X3 and really liked the way it handled compared to what was on the market at the time. Wife likes the X3 better than the Q5, but I won't let her buy either until diesel appears.

Try out the legroom on the taurus 1st. Many people have said it feels cramped, even up front

Default Kind of looks like a cross between the Chrysler 300 and a Lincoln something.

The back lights kill it for me. Ford can't do decent back lights if their lives depended on it. The rest of the car looks fair. Dashboard is awfully old-fashioned and retro. I wonder which would have worse resale value... the Audi or the Ford.

Default You may want to get the Infiniti EX35 .. now cheaper than the A4

Great luxury interior (best quality in its class according to JD Powers).

Backseats are OK (see video) for 2 adults.

I just got one. And it's not really an SUV. It's more like a tall station wagon. It really drives like the G35 Infiniti sedan - very car-like.

And yeah, it drives like an S4 performance wise. It can do 5.5 seconds 0-62.5 MPH (0-100 kmph) base on a Canadian video test.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6WSQQisGSU</a

Default i've only sat in one once, but i could swear it doesn't have more rear seat/legroom

than the B8. in fact it's not even as comfortable as the regular G35 sedan (IMO).
