Default Bad gas mileage

My 2011 is getting horrible gas mileage. At least that's what I think. On a full tank, the range is showing 435 miles remaining. If I drive 10 miles, it drops 20-30 miles. I've now driven 45 miles and it is showing 370 miles left. I only noticed just before my last fill-up. It showed 150 miles left. And I was only able to drive 56 miles. If my estimates are correct, I'll only be able to drive 150 to 200 miles on a 15 gallon tank. That's less than 13 mpg.

That does seem bad. Could be any number of problems. Seized brake caliper, fuel injector stuck open, etc. You'd have to start reviewing the data and start testing things to try and see what's where. I'm looking at a similar problem where after replacing my alternator pulley, my mpg is down about 20-25%. Doesn't make much sense. But looking through numbers, I see my long term fuel trim mix value is up 25%, which means 25% longer fuel injector time and thus probably 25% more fuel used. So now I have to try and figure out what a failing alternator event could have done to whatever might be driving up my fuel trim. Which isn't all that easy since the engine is presenting no problem codes (except the eternal P0299).

Just an update.....I've driven 1-quarter tank, and I've driven 60 miles. Even if i"m "eye-balling" the gauge wrong, I can add 10 miles. That is still only 70 miles on a quarter tank. That's 280 miles for the full tank. On a 15-gallon tank, that is 18.6 MPG max.
I've driven about 35 of those miles on Highway. And the rest is not really NY city traffic. Its suburban driving.

Any ideas what can be wrong?
I smell no gas. Performance is really good (as far as I can tell).

Drive down the entire tank and then do a proper calculation for gas mileage. I never trust the computer to do those calcs properly.

That's exactly what I did. My update was on the new tank.
