Brake master cylinder cover removal
There is a metal cover over the reservoir impeding access to the master cylinder. Does NE1 know how to remove this cover? The How-To for replacing the master cylinder ignores this cover. Perhaps that author was really working on a B7.

Helps to have the documentation for the process. All the repair manuals are available at erwin.audiusa.com. Costs for a day's pass, but better to have the real docs.
Says the cover is not installed on all vehicles, removing it is just removing the bolt at the bottom of the front of it.
