I am buying a 2015 A4. I have priced a premium plus with the Technology Package and B&O system and a Prestige. The only difference I can find is he Adaptive Headlights. The difference in price is about $1400. Am I missing something here? Are the Adaptive headlights worth it? What do they really do? Is there residual value in going with the Prestige which makes it worth it?

I have a 2014 with premium plus w/ MMI Nav plus package, B & O and sport package.
No regrets here. Not sure if adaptive headlights are worth 1,400.

Check the feature list on their website. From 2009 to 2010, the P+ had a 6cd changer, and the auto tinting mirrors.. Those got moved into Prestige in 2010.

I don't know if that's still the case. Even heated side mirrors moved up.

That's why I always buy the first year model of a new generation. Audi loads these cars with features (probably to impress the automotive press) that they eventually make optional or move up to higher-end models.

I bought my '96, '02 and '09 A4s when they first came out. One of them (the '96, I think) even came with heated rear seats as standard. After the first year, you had to buy an A6 to get that feature.

I know there are plenty of features on my '09 that are either optional or not even available on later models.

Wait and buy the new generation next year. Expected to be lighter, faster, more features and most likely class defining.
