Default Child-proof lock: System Fault!

Good afternoon,
This morning my 2013 A4's MIL turned on and it showed "Child-proof lock: System Fault!" in the driver's display. After about 1/2 minute the car shut off as if gasoline supply was cut off. I checked the fuel cap and started the car again and almost immediately it shut off. I had both door's child locks engaged and decided to temporarily set them back to normal (manual system with the key). No change in behavior after starting the car. Same message and shut off again. I am suspecting a fuel pump thing or something really odd. Anyone ever seen this? Is there a safety system that would cut fuel supply when the child proof locks malfunction? Any idea would be appreciated before I head to a dealer and get stuck on the highway...
Thanks!

Sorry unless someone has had the same issue it is difficult to point to the problem without a code.

First thing you do is pull codes and then see what the car is telling you. Maybe even clear codes and see what comes back in case it seems a random event.
Audi's dash lights are particularly uninformative when you are needing to formulate an action plan.

since the only 2 posts he has ever made were these 2 to get a quick answer and we never heard from him again in over 2 years, id say your chances of hearing from him are not good, did you pull a code ?
