Considering a 09+ A4, Require Advice.
Hello everyone, this is my first post and thread on AudiWorld. I am looking to purchase a used second hand Audi A4 2009+ model, this is the one im interested in to be precise.
2009 Audi A4 Sedan | used cars & trucks | Calgary | Kijiji
Now, I have never owned an Audi before, my previous car was a 2001 BMW 528i and after that was a 2008 G35xS Infiniti (2nd Gen). The BMW had tons of issues which I managed to dish the money out for and regret it to this day despite it being an amazing car to drive. The Infiniti was a great car all around apart from the poor gas mileage <biggest issue) and sometimes jerky transmission.
I really like Audi's but where ever I read something about an Audi A4 or any Audi for that matter 2008+ models all I hear is problems, engines being rebuilt, massive oil consumption and so on. This always steered me away from Audi.
I will make sure which ever A4 I take a look at is under 70,000 Miles or 115,000 kms.
What are key issues that i need to look for when veiwing an A4 and looking at its mechanicl history?
Is the 2.0T better than the 3.2? Which is more reliable?
Versus BMW, how hard is it to DIY on an Audi if one has the requires special tools?
If there is anything anyone would like to put out there and give their .2 cents on the matter, I will greatly appreciate the feedback.
Thank you!

The MY2009 was the only A4 B8 available with the 3.0TFSI V6 engine. I loved mine - smooth power all through the power curve and zero lag. No oil consumption or other problems in 50K miles and 4 years. You may be able to find a third party warranty on a car over 70K miles but it will be very expensive. Be sure to have an Audi tech carefully inspect any car you're considering.
