Dealer drilled holes for front license plate

Mine is exactly the same. The reason is likely that the front plate holder is made for the Japanese market which has slightly larger plates with different screw locations. If you remove that center screw and the two screws just below the holder near the ends of the grill, you can pull off that holder and see that there is a euro plate holder underneath.

Mine is the same also. I don't see any reason to blame the dealer for this. If you don't want a front plate it is better to get the correct filler trim anyway instead of keeping that trim. The plate-delete trim looks much better if you aren't going to run with a front plate.

Thanks for the tip. I removed the cover as suggested and now see the euro style plate. To bad that they drilled all the way through, so the euro plate also has holes. I will just order a filler plate.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

Don't look at it as a problem. Look at it as an opportunity!!! Just put a plate on and drill new screws into the plastic... (I still need to replace my screws with some white ones so they don't stand out so much.)
