Difference between A4 B8 2.7 TDI 120kw and 140kw
Greetings everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I really could use your help regarding Audi A4 B8. I bought the sedan model from 2009 with 2.7 TDI 120kw engine. The listing for this car was describing it as 140kw tuned engine with DPF filter removed. Apparently on dyno it shows over 240 HP which is hard to believe. I am no car expert at all but when the car was imported, the papers were describing it as 120kw engine. It has automatic transmission and no quattro. Long story short, is it really possible to invest around $600 (what seller told me) and tune this engine (120kw on papers) to have that much HP? And what is the difference between 120kw and 140kw? I couldnt find anywhere info about 120kw verison with 2.7 engine.

wiki page says A4 B8 FWD 2.7L V6 TDI is a 140kW motor ie 190PS, aka metric hp.
If we look at the tune by APR for the ROW 2.7L TDI (https://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_tdi.html), it shows 240 hp (I assume metric hp), but that will be at the crank, not the wheels.
Still, it's a +25% in power.
Seems the 120kW 2.7L V6 TDI was in the prior generation A4, the B7.
The B7 and B8 V6 TDI for quattro builds is a 3.0L motor, the 2.7L is for the FWD builds.
