Disabling Voice Command
Hi.
I've recently replaced the head unit in my B8.5 with an RSNav (Pic attached).
Now when I press the Voice Command button on the steering wheel I get google assistant which is way better, but at the same time it also activates the cars built in voice command, and RSNav cannot change this. My understanding is that if you have any version of MMI you could change this, but because I didn't, I can't.
Is there a way to disable this? I know you probably will be able to with some kind of OBD interface but I haven't got any of that.

I know it's been 3 years but as I was looking for this as well and managed to find the answer, I thought to post it here in case anyone wanted to do the same thing.
I followed the reverse instructions from the link here below and pretended my B8.5 RS5 was a cabrio, by checking the box to disable voice command (and setting byte 16 to 10100) https://sharding.org/blog/2011/02/02...e-recognition/

Those instructions are for the coding of SDS in control module 5F (MMI 3G), which doesn't exist if you have just the Concert radio like the OP. There's likely a coding bit in 56 to flip, but which/what it is, who can say.
